Even though GingerCloud’s MRP 2022 season has ended, we have been busy!
We were invited by Rugby Australia to join their Summer 7’s program for 4 weeks at Norths Rugby Union Club. Cameron, GingerCloud’s Operations Manager has said “The MRP Players, their families and Coaches involved are having a great time, enjoying the warm spring afternoon games then celebrating with a burger from the club canteen”
If you aren’t doing anything on the 4th of November, we invite you to join them at Norths Rugby Union Club at 6pm and cheer our MRP teams on!
We were also invited by St Joseph’s Nudgee College to host a 6-week MRP mini season in fourth term, and we jumped at the opportunity. The PlayerMentors are students from the college who are enthusiastic about disability inclusion, and they are incredible. We have had 2 sessions so far and the feedback has been positive and encouraging, thank you Nudgee College.
These MRP sessions have allowed some of our MRP Players to enjoy rugby for a little bit longer, and for us to experience the power of disability inclusion on the rugby field beyond the MRP Season.
The GingerCloud team also made a trip to Townsville to take part in the Variety Activate Inclusion Day where we showcased the MRP to a community of teachers and students from the area. The day was long but fun!
